In the top view draw shape to extrude to scale needed |

In Front view highlight shape right click pick plugins...wizards...duplicator
I want an arc over right angle so I want 6x15=90 Rotate in Z 15 6 times but shown as 7=6+1 The pivot is at X= -45,Y=0,Z=0 And segments every 5 units |

If you used values shown you should have this.
Highlight shape and make all segments peaked

| I rotated the view and pick center top point |

| Hit slash / to pick shape and right click and pick copy/flip/paste |

| You now have an arch |

| I duplicated/copied it added Lava material and stuff to get the animation on intro page to this tut |
