Compositing in AM

Compositing is best done in something like Adobe After Effects. But if you're on a budget or just plain ol' stubborn and want everything done in AM, then it's possible.

Create a new choreography (or even better, a new project)

Delete the ground and all the lights.

Change the Camera type from Perspective to Orthagonal. It'll become a giant box.

Set its X and Y positions to 0.

Import your background, shadow, line and toon images into AM. If they're animated bring them in as sequences.

Right click your Choreography, choose New > Layer > Background.

The background will be brought down into Chor like a postcard. If you moved the camera down to 0 then the picture should be aligned with it.

Scale the picture up from the front view until it encompasses the entire camera. In this case it was 160%.

Bring in your other layers and stack them next to each other. Scale as needed.

Note: I rendered the line pass double-size so had to scale it to 80% instead of 160%.

When viewed and rendered through the camera you get this!

Then you can use AM's nifty Post Effects like Bloom and Film Grain to further enhance the look.
