Modeling the Torso and Pelvis. [3/3]
 | |
Connect the Upper Torso and Pelvis splines. If the number of CPs arent a exact match use
Hooks to fill in holes.
|
 | |
Start shifting those CPs again to match your rotoscope. As you can see in the pic there are holes in the chest in the back, we're about to get to them.
|
 | |
This is the characters back, I wont fill in the holes in front because we'd just have to tear them back out when we put in the breasts.
Delete the dangling points (these were the floating CPs we had a while ago)
|
 | |
Use 5 pt patches and hooks to fill things in.
|
 | |
Ok, start shifting things around to your liking again. Select one side of the model and delete it. (whichever side looks worse to you in your opinion'll do)
Why do this? It's easier to work on one half of a model than 2, we can always copy-flip-attach again later. But when trying to get your proprtions right earlier its easier to visualize with a whole model than half. That and working with half a spline-ring is a pain in the ass you dont need.
|
 | |
Ok now we're back to half a model. Time to add some breasts.
|
 | |
I've hidden everything but the fron of the chest here. Delete the dangling point.
|
 | |
Push some of the CPs up and out, make a lot of room. The side had a gap which was easily filled with a quick spline.
|
 | |
In your front view create a new spline in an arc. Select it all, set your pivot point and lathe.
|
 | |
You'll get this.
Note: if you're going for super-size breasts it might be easier to import a sphere primitive, cut out 1/3 of it and use that instead.
|
 | |
Rotate it 90 degrees so its pointing towards the front view, and start molding it into the shape of a breast.
|
 | |
Rotate/Move/Scale it and place it into the hole in the chest.
|
 | |
Connect the 2 mesh pieces to each other. It will look nasty at first.
|
 | |
Push some of the CPs around so there isnt that really heavy creasing. Look for problem areas like those circles where 5 splines connect to 1 cp. Just delete them or break them and fill the gaps in using 5 pt patches and hooks.
When re-arranging splines try to get them to form double lines toward the shoulder area along the white line drawn.
|
 | |
To get something like this.
This is the end of the torso section!
