Detailed Information

Zpiral 2 has all features of Zpiral but it adds the ability to create spirals around existing splines.

To access this feature, just select a CP of the spline you want a Zpiral would around, and start Zpiral 2. you will not be able to enter the height of the spline as you would when normally creating a Zpiral, because the height is dictated by the spline you selected.
Examples:

Zpiral overkill.
The first Zpiral was created with the settings
(sR=2, eR=0, rB=-0.5, h=10 hB=-0.5, t=5, s=80).

Then a point of this Zpiral was selected and Zpiral was started again.
This time these settings were used:
(sR=0, eR=0.2, rB=0, hB=0.5, t=50, s=500).

Using the same technique you could create a human DNA-strand that is even wound 3 times as spiral. The DNA is called "double-helix, because there are actually two strands always opposite of each other.

You could easily create that opposite strand by creating a second Zpiral aournd the same spline, that has a "R Offset" value of 180.

Download

Download zpiral2.zip Version 2.1. This plugin is only available for puZh owners.

Unzip, copy the Zpiral.hxt to your A:M HXT plugin folder (like C:\Program Files\Hash Inc\V90\hxt), overwrite Zpiral.hxt if necessary (version 2 uses the same file name since it replaces v1).

Open A:M 9.0, right - click in a modeling window with nothing selected, select "Plugins", then "Wizards", then "Zpiral...".

Use this plugin at your own risk, i did not have any kind of problem while using it, but its always a good idea to save often. especially before using a plugin.
